Lay out a polling place

Measure the room wall to wall. For an odd-shaped room, drag a corner (the small squares on the plan), or double-click a wall to add a corner there.

This room isn't a plain rectangle, so the sizes above are its overall width and length. Make it a rectangle this size

Show the way voters walk: from the entrance to check-in, to a booth, to the scanner and out. The walkway along it is checked for width.

The plan is checked against these numbers, in inches. Change them to match the rules you follow.

Walkway width: the clear space along the voter path. Turning space: a circle this wide where a wheelchair user can turn around, in front of each accessible booth and wherever you put a turning space. Door opening: the clear opening of a door when it's open.

Print and PDF are drawn to scale: print at actual size (100%), not "fit to page", and a ruler on the paper measures the room. PNG is a picture for documents and email.
